sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h4>18 m high, pentagonal on the outside, square on the inside, with walls 2 to 5 m thick, the <strong>TOUR DES VOLEURS<\/strong> was the defensive tower at the north-western corner of the medieval town.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Surrounded by a first rampart in 1291, access is via a covered walkway.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Tour des Voleurs was also the site of seigniorial justice and one of the city prisons, hence the presence of :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <strong><em>torture chamber,<\/em> <\/strong>authentic, with its <strong><br \/><em>dungeon<\/em><br \/><\/strong> five-meter-deep dungeon and <strong><br \/><em>trap,<\/em><br \/><\/strong> a winch used to suspend prisoners to force confessions, as well as the<strong> <em>stones<\/em><\/strong> attached to their feet,<\/li>\n<li>the <strong><br \/><em>guard room,<\/em><br \/><\/strong> on the upper floor, where you could watch them being interrogated ( <em>&#8220;questioned&#8221;)<\/em>, with a collection of torture instruments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb title=&#8221;Opening hours and practical information&#8221;
